EMDR Therapy in Huntsville, AL

When Talking About It Isn't Enough
Your Nervous System Needs Something Deeper

Focused. Deep. Transformative. For the Work That Deserves More Than 50 Minutes

When Your Mind Has Moved On but Your Body Hasn’t

You've done the work.
You've read the books. You've been in therapy.
You understand, intellectually, why you react the way you do.

You can trace the pattern back to where it started.
And yet — something is still stuck.

The anxiety still spikes in the same situations.
The same relationship dynamic keeps playing out.
Your body still braces like it's waiting for something bad to happen,
even when everything is fine.

That's not a failure of insight.
That's not something you can think your way out of.

That's trauma living in the body.
And that's exactly what EMDR is designed to reach.

Misery loves to tell you your problems are unsolvable - Misery is a liar.

You don't have to keep living in the aftermath
of things that already happened.

What an intensive is

Weekly therapy is powerful. But sometimes the work you're ready to do is bigger than a 50-minute session can hold.

An EMDR Intensive is a dedicated block of time — a half day or full day — set aside entirely for you and your processing work. No other clients. No interruptions. Just focused, unhurried space to go as deep as you're ready to go.

Intensives are held at my therapy office in Huntsville, Alabama.

What EMDR therapy iNTENSIVE IS ALL ABOUT

An EMDR Intensive might be right for you if

You've done EMDR before and are ready to go deeper into specific memories or patterns

You're currently working with a therapist and want to supplement your weekly sessions with a focused processing block — then return to your therapist for ongoing support

You have a window of time — a week off work, a planned trip to Huntsville — and want to use it for meaningful therapeutic work

You're approaching a significant life transition and want to process what you're carrying before you step into what's next

You feel ready to move faster than weekly sessions allow

Some work can't be rushed.
But it also doesn't have to take forever.

How Intensives work

Every Intensive begins with a 90-minute intake session — scheduled before the Intensive itself — to assess your history, clarify your goals, and prepare your nervous system for the work ahead.

This session is included in your Intensive fee.
A 50-minute follow-up session is available after your Intensive if you'd like support integrating what came up.

Intensives are available on weekends at my Huntsville office.

Investment

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your Intensive date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your Intensive.
A 50-minute integration session is available following your Intensive if desired — priced at the standard session rate.

Half-Day Intensive — $1,000
Includes 90-minute intake session
Full-Day Intensive — $2,000
Includes 90-minute intake session

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have done EMDR before?
Not necessarily — but you do need to complete the 90-minute intake session before your Intensive so we can assess readiness and build the foundation for safe processing. If you're brand new to EMDR, we'll use part of that intake time to orient you to the process.

Can I do an Intensive while working with another therapist?
Yes — and this is one of the most common reasons clients come for Intensives. Many people use an Intensive to do a focused block of processing work and then return to their regular therapist for ongoing talk therapy support. I'm happy to coordinate with your therapist with your permission.

What if I need to cancel?
If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. Rescheduling does not affect your deposit. If you need to cancel entirely: cancellations made more than 30 days before your scheduled Intensive will receive a refund of any deposit paid minus a $1,000 scheduling fee. Deposits are fully non-refundable for cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled date.
