Therapy for Burnout and overwhelm

You’ve Been Running on Empty for So Long…
You Forgot What “Rested” Is Even Supposed to Feel Like

Burnout Therapy for Professionals & High-Achieving Women in Huntsville, AL

Burnout isn’t laziness.

It isn’t lack of discipline.
It isn’t “being dramatic.”

Burnout is what happens when the story you've been living — the one where you hold everything together, meet every deadline, show up for everyone, and never ask for too much — finally runs out of pages.

You kept the pace because people needed you.
Because stopping felt like failing.
Because you genuinely didn't know another way.

But now your body is waving the white flag.

You're getting everything done — but feeling nothing while you do it

You're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix

You snap at the people you love most and immediately feel guilty

You fantasize about canceling everything and disappearing for a week

Brain fog is making simple decisions feel impossible

You rest and still wake up tired

You resent responsibilities you used to find meaningful
You can't remember the last time you did something just for you — and actually enjoyed it

Let me guess

You're not broken. You're depleted. And there's a difference.

We want you to know:

Burnout isn't a personal failing.
It's the result of a story that stopped leaving room for you.

How I work with burnout

Burnout isn't just a scheduling problem. It's a story problem.

Somewhere along the way, you internalized a narrative that your worth lives in your output.

That rest is something you earn. That needing help is a weakness. That the right response to overwhelm is to push harder.

In our work together we'll examine those stories — where they came from, whose voice they're actually in, and whether they still belong to you. We'll use narrative therapy to separate you from the burnout so you can see it clearly instead of living inside it. And we'll use EMDR where the exhaustion has roots that go deeper than the last few hard years.

This isn't about doing less. It's about living differently.

You don’t have to push through another season on empty
